We are a USDA Federally Inspected meat processing plant in the heart of Stokes County, NC serving the Piedmont, southern Virginia, and beyond for harvesting and processing of cattle, hogs, lamb, and goats.

Following a review on May 22nd, 2019 M.L. Mitchell and Son Meat Processing is recommended by AWA for the slaughter of Beef Cattle from AWA Farms.


Meat PRocessing Services

Beef:
Standard
$0.75/lb  (Hot Carcass Hanging Weight)
$70 Harvest Room Fee (*all inclusive of Killing and By-product fees)

Value Added Dry Aging:
**Due to limited carcass cooler space, NO REQUESTS for hang times/processing dates will be accepted at this time.**

Lamb and Goat:
Standard
$85 per animal (includes all harvest and processing fees)


Extras
$4.50/bag      Sausage Seasoning  (mild, medium, hot)​
​Pork:
Standard
$0.80/lb (Hot Carcass Hanging Weight)
$70 Harvest Room Fee (*all inclusive of Killing and By-product fees)

Extras
$4.50/bag of Sausage Seasoning
           (1 bag covers approx. 25lbs of sausage depending
           on fat content of hog)     
   **Sausage Seasonings Include:
                 
Mild, Medium, Hot, Italian, and Chorizo

Deer (or other game):
$1.50 per pack​ 
$2.00 per pack of special "double-worked"  cuts
            (stew, jerky, cubed, etc)
$2.25 per 1/2 bag of sausage seasoning 

*Deer must be brought in skinned, gutted, and in a cooler on ice.
*Tag numbers MUST be provided!

Country Ham Cut/Package:
$25
**Specialty cuts and services for any species can be provided and will be priced on an individual basis.**

Pick-up Policy
All processing orders completed Monday-Thursday must be picked up by 12pm on the Saturday immediately following the processing date. 

All processing orders completed Friday need to be picked up by 4pm the following Tuesday.

Failure to do so will result in a $20/day charge. 
**This applies to all meat - beef, pork, lamb, goat, AND deer!**​
